Statistical data

Statistical data should correspond to the theme which is going to be visualized in the thematic map. Load the data from an external file. Statistical data are available online from different sources (e.g. Statistical Service of Switzerland, Swiss Open Government Data, EUROSTAT, data through the INSPIRE framework, etc). The format of this file can be *.xls, *.csv, *.dbf or *.txt.

The statistical data should be complete and accurate, which means that all the fields should contain the necessary information. Gaps in cells of some fields existed due to no data should be avoided. The table should be structured in columns and rows. The first row should contain the field names like the sample the below:

The statistical data table and the attribute table of geometry data loaded in Wizard step 2 should have a field with common values for every record, in order to be joined later in Wizard step 3. For example, in case of data concerning countries, the common field can be an ID or the name of the country. You can edit the table in Wizard step 1 or 3.
